While I may consider myself to be somewhat of a “Haunted House” novice, I give the Sag Harbor Wailing Museum Haunted House two thumbs up. My friend and I definitely could have been cast in a Alfred Hitchcock movie with our ear piercing screams of complete horror. The Museum is creepy on its own and then to add the haunted house décor and a great cast of characters that force themselves into your personal space creates a roller coaster of frightful emotions. I kept my eyes shut at one point for the fear of something grabbing my ankles, even with the knowledge of knowing it wasn’t real . . . I still was scared. My emotions went from ok lets get this cheesy tour over with, to giggles, to complete terror, back to giggly, screaming at the top of my lungs, paranormal activity thoughts running through my head, pure adrenaline and great relief when I found the exit. We were the only ones going through the house so it only took about 5 minutes or so but, I was happy to find the exit as my heart was beating outside of my chest. The cost was $10. I would not recommend bringing young children. I think for their first year they did a great job. I thought it was better than the Haunted House in Hampton Bays at the Canoe Place Inn.
