Went tonight and it takes alot to scare me but there were a few points I was legitimately scared. You have to experience this for yourself.
1 suggestion: make a bigger sign or advertise the place it is behind and that there is on site parking. |

I was too scared to even scream! This haunted house was literally a compilation of all my fears as a child come to life. It was amazing and it really pushes people to their limits. Next year, I'm totally going alone! The idea behind this haunted house was simply amazing. Can't wait to do it again! |

This is my second time going through Nyctophobia; I went through alone last year and loved it and went through with my brother this year and had a blast!
The loss of sight is a one-of-a-kind experience that will get you freaking because you literally cannot see! And be prepared for people to touch you; that is something I HATE and they are creepy about how they do it!
I recommend if you have never gone through Nycto before, go alone because you will appreciate the experience more and be in for a good scare. After you've conquered it, then go with a partner, it makes the experience a more fun.
The concept is a great one, although some sections need some work, but for the first "official" year it is well done and worth the trip out east to partake in the experience!
Good luck! Don't give up and fight your fears! |

They scare you by playing with your mind. It's so cool. You get kidnapped and blind folded, at some points you have to crawl and then just when you thought you made it through they.......I won't give anymore away go see for yourself! If you didn't make it there 2011 you gotta go in 2012! Awesome! |

After going in with a friend this year and having lots of fun, I think I'm going to try going alone next year. You had to navigate part of the house in total darkness and it was definitely easier with a friend - I'd definitely be more freaked out alone. There were lots of things I didn't expect and I was nervous to turn around every corner because of it! The wait when I went on a Friday night was quite short and things appeared to be running smoothly. My only complaints: 1. the location is very hard to find - I'd suggest putting a floodlight on the sign that says Nyctophobia, because otherwise you can't see it in the dark. 2. The price is just a bit steep - understandable since it's one guy's independent venture but I'd like to see it dropped to the $10-15 range. |

I was there last year when they were "experimenting"
I did not make it all the way through because it was that scary! They really play with you mind and get inside your head, to the point where you dont know if it is fake anymore!
I really wish I made it all the way through because my husband told me stories of what happened to him and i feel i missed out! I will def go back this year....This is a MUST for anyone who enjoys haunted houses!!! |

This was a very different haunted house/attraction. Nyctophobia is it's name and thats what they had you feeling. It really did mess with my senses and keeped you guessing. It wasnt exactly scary, it was kinda more fearful of what is gonna happen next. I really liked it and thought it was very different from most and would highly recommend it! |

This is not your ordinary bloody, gory haunted house with a guy running after you with a chainsaw.. This is more of a psychological nightmare come true. I’m a haunted attraction fanatic! I’ve been to many of the popular ones around the tri state, and this one by far was the most unique. The fact that the actors get to touch you was creepy in itself, and I like the fact that they didn’t need all the animatronics, big props and all the bloody gory make-up to give you a hell of a scare, it was simply put together, with a few actors who really went above and beyond their role. It was a mind boggling experience. Without giving anything away, be prepared to run, crawl, kneel, be touched, kidnapped, blindfolded, and “WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT CREEPY BABY!!! IT was so much fun wish it was longer. They did a great job it was worth the 2 ½ hour drive!

amazing! It was very well done, and planned. The actors were good, the set up was good, it was really realistic, which made it 10x better then any other scary attraction I've been to. If anyone who hasn't gone yet, GO! Enough said. well done to Eric, and crew. Amazing job. |

The only reason I gave you 4 bats instead of 5 is because I wanted MORE! I won tickets on WRCN and attended tonight-Oct 21.
The haunting was very well done and downright scary at some points! I refused to give up my light to the clown after the guy at the beginning told me not to give it up. LOL I argued with the clown! All the actors were very professional and respectful while scaring the daylights out of me!
Alot of effort went into this and you did a great job. I only hope you expand it and I can go again next year!
Thanks for the scary good time!

I loved it despite the extremely long wait time.
It was very creative and for people who get scared easy they would probably be crying but I thought it was fun and didn't scream once. I couldn't stop laughing. It messes with your head.
There's some heavy cursing from some of the actors so I wouldn't recommend this for younger people. |

if you want to jump or scream then this isnt the place for you. It will creep you out to no end but you wont really ever get terrified like yyou do in typical "pop out" hayunted house. youll have ALOT of anxiety because you have no idea where your going (its pitch black; i legitamately walked into every wall) and you wont know where the people are (because its pitch black). yes you will have to crawl but not for long. ther only complaint i have is that i think the actors should jump at you more |

lets put this plain and simple... haunt wise it was nice, could have had more effort.
The walk through however is a ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE. so i definitely liked that and hope to see more of that in other haunted attractions.
the scenery outside the actual building sets the mood, it feels like your in some The Hills Have Eyes Movie the Hillbilly Kansas Version . No but seriously the set up outside is very eerie.
If you are scared of what happens in everyday situations that happen to the unfortunate then dont come here.
Overall Experience: It was satisfying for 15 mins in there, and for those whom turn out not liking the place maybe its because you wimped out and went with a partner, try going by yourself and then write a proper review. :-) |

The reason nycotphobia only gets 3 bats is because i wanted more, and like the first review the clown was crazy give my light up? hahaha but i did and went on to find out it ended before the scares started. There was some parts i liked and other parts were the actors were just dumbfounded by what i said lmao. Extremely awsome staff because they didint once give in to my speach lol guess im to hardcore to be scared tho lol.,..... |

First off, Nyctophobia definately owned up to its' name; look up the definition & you'll know how. It's a very interactive experience which helps the setting & feeling more. You have to be good with directions & listening - once you go, you'll know what that means. They touch you a lot but in a sense to fulfil the setting. Nyctophobia is a must try if you want something different other than gore. Also, the actors were very respectful & personal. Great job, Eric! P.S, my friend loves you! |

I went last night. When you drive up it doesn't seem like much but while you're waiting on line, all you hear are the screams of the people who are inside. I've never heard a guy scream at a haunted house and I definately heard a few that night!! lol I absolutely loved it and my friend had to keep her eyes closed the whole time (even though it didn't help because she was scared by people scaring us in the dark.
