Old Burial Hill saw its first grave dug in 1712; it was also late occupied, desecrated, and used as a fort by British soldiers during the Revolution. Numerous tombstones were moved and torn down during this period, and many never made their way back to the correct grave. Many soldiers were also buried in the area. The ghosts of Colonel Thompson and Rev. Ebenezer Prime are said to haunt the cemetery, and some passersby have reported seeing children in the cemetery vanish into thin air.

Desolate

Was walking around town Huntington with a group of friends, you can see old burial hill from the street, and when I looked up I recall being very unsettled. Decided to investigate more and was here very briefly with a different friend, didn’t have any particular weird feelings this time around but I turned on my spirit box just to see. Words received included “Father” and “Bible” less than a minute apart, I’m assuming pertaining to the reverend. as well as “Desolate” which is consistent with another user experience, also in the back corner. Odd!

Descendent

I'm a descendent of many of the people buried here, including ebinezer prime....I was in there one day and my spirit box picked up one word "desolation"....it happened to have been in the back corner where the freed slave and his family was buried...a spot that is kind of off to itself where it's getting overgrown

Saw a man dressed in what appeared to be a revolutionary hat

Me and my lifelong friend went to the cemetery and walked around the perimeter outside the gates. We took videos and pictures of the cemetery with nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. On one of my videos, I faked being spooked at the beginning, and shook the camera from left to right. When I brought the camera back to the right, the silhouette of a man appears out of nowhere and focuses, just standing there. The separation on the legs can be seen, the head and the upper body as well. We believe this could be Colonel Thompson, but are unsure about what we have witnessed.
