The sea is a dangerous place, so it should be no surprise that Long Island is home to a few seafaring ghosts. Riders on the Port Jefferson ferry line have reported seeing some unusual activity while being carried across the water. The specter of a man wearing a weathered captain’s uniform has been seen about the boat by numerous riders.
