Glen Cove Mansion
Glen Cove, NY 11542
The Mansion at Glen Cove operates as a luxury hotel and event space that is believed to be quite haunted. The gorgeous site has lingering ghosts, including that Mr. and Mrs. Pratt, once owners of the property. Rumor has it that a smiling old lady (believed to be Mrs. Pratt), has been spotted in a chair in the corner of a room, as well as a man dressed in a suit believed to be Mr. Pratt). Staff members have also experienced strange paranormal occurrences, including a shower that kept turning on and off by itself. A bartender claimed to see a woman in a white dress come into the bar after-hours. She was told to leave and vanished into thin air. Music is also known to change on its own and the computer screens have been known to shake eerily.

I recently stayed at the mansion. One night in the bar room I thought I was alone, but when I looked over I saw a man and a woman sitting there. They appeared to be whispering to each other. The woman has a strange double orb like hair that seemed impossible and the man caught my gaze and said to me a single word that reverberated in my Brain …. “LIRRRRRRR”. I awoke in my room and apparently I hadn’t even been in the bar that night.

My wife and I stayed at The Mansion 2 nights for a nearby wedding. The first night there my wife woke up to find the the face of a man looking at her. She was so surprised she started swatting at him. He eventually faded away. She said he was not scary, had what seemed to be tattered clothes and deep sunk eyes. He did not return the following night, and my wife said he never seemed threatening. Room 205 is in the newer addition behind the mansion in what I would assume was previously a veranda and large garden area.
