I dont want to deter people from going by to check it out, I know the guy does this to collect money for charity, which is great. So if you want to see an excellently decorated Halloween house, with a cast of costumed actors roaming around the street... go for it. But I have to say, this just is NOT a haunted house. There is no traditional haunted house trail or anything like that. Its just a well decorated house with some features in the front lawn. Probably fun for the kids to see, and to hang out with the neighbors but if you are looking to visit a haunted house this is not one.
Sorry I had to rate this down for its misclassification. |

I just want to thank everyone who helped make The Franklin Square Horror such a huge success. We had between 800 to 900 people show up waiting to be scared. They were not disappointed. Channel 12 Long Island News interveiwed us for the 10:00 news and the Franklin Square Herald was also there to put us in their latest addition.
We also took donations for children with Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Thank you again.

I went last year. It was fun, you can't walk up to the house much but they run out in the street at you. It gets very crowded and with the people running away from the chainsaw it can get pretty dangerous. I wouldn't bring kids under the age of 6 or 7 to this thing. It was ok for a local event though. I feel bad for the people who have to live there. Their lawns get destroyed! |

I went to this house last year and it scared the #$%@ out of me and my girlfriend. This guy must work in the movie business cause' he knew exactly how to scare people silly. I passed by this house recently and it looks freaky! We will definitely make the time to stop there again this year. |

I'm a neighbor of Joe Allocco who creates The Franklin Square Horror and he gave me a Sneak Peak at what he has in store for 2009. He created a 110 foot Walk- Through that encompasses the ENTIRE side of his home! It has different rooms in it! And he's been working on it since June. Last year's Crypt had a small scary Scene in it, and although he uses the front of the Crypt again this year, it is NOTHING like last year! It is Scarier then some of the Professional Haunts that you would have to pay for to get in! When this thing is completed people are going to talk about this for years to come! |

I was there for the past 4 years and last year was, without a doubt, the best year so far! This is one of those house's that everyone has to see at least once! I can't wait to see it this year. Joe Allocco does an amazing job and he collects donations for kids with Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Keep up the good work!!! |

When you first walk down the block there is a house at 1113 Norbay Street that is a haunted house year round! The house is old and broken down, there are old sculptures, cut off toy horse heads on the fence and broken plastic Christmas decorations. There is an old couple that lives there that yells at children that pass by. They leave orange emergency cones around the house giving it a police tape/murder scene feel. me and my friends will come to this house every couple of months and throw rocks at it to see the old monster pop out. At the end of the block there is a great haunted house that looks professional. The people are nice and it's for a good cause. |

I've been visiting this Halloween Haunt for over 10 years and it just keeps getting better and better. I remember when Joe used to come running out of the house with a chainsaw (electric at the time) and chase everyone off the property after they got their treats. Now it's a whole family of ghouls that come from different areas of the house and street to scare the hell out of you!! In 2008 they had a mausoleum in their driveway with a real coffin inside, and a girl that looked like the girl from the movie, The Ring who popped out at you! You had to wait for a little while on line to check out the mausoleum, but it was worth it! I can't wait to see what happens this year! Keep up the great work!!! |
