My 15-year old grandson and I thought this was a most amazing play and best thing we ever did together for Halloween and that's saying alot. We've been to spook walks, all kinds of haunted houses and haunted mazes, but this experience was one we will never forget. The acting was absolutely superb, equivalent to the best of Broadway. The actors epitomized their characters to the nth degree. The costumes were magnificent. The after show event was incredible, a haunted house with ghost stories led by one of the actors acting out the stories, was the coup de grace. I'm just sorry I didn't have my eldest grandson with me. He would have loved the philosophical, scientific mind-body, consciousness aspects of the play, that I loved as well.
I certainly hope other or similar plays are offered next year. If they are, I'll be sure to buy tickets for all of them. You have done a great job that should definitely be continued. The artwork was also a high point of our visit. We spent alot of time discussing their meaning. Thank you for it all. Judith Stone |

I went to almost every show this weekend.
Friday I saw Qualia and was amazed at how great the actors stuck to the British accent.
Saturday, The Living Dead Mafia could not make me stop laughing,
And if that was hilarious then I'm definitely going back to see Even Later on Sunday.
The only negative thing I have to say is the ghost stories were quite boring and poorly written. |

I saw the show saturday at 7:45 and I think anyone who was at that show would agree Martini was not the best actor and that the wahwah was not as obvious as in charlie brown. In charlie brown, the teacher spoke wahwahwah symbolizing that grownups speak differently then kids, which does not make it have any connection to some sort of boss of lucifer which leads me to believe whoever plays martini cant handle constructive criticism and is knocking real reviews down by making his own saying hes the best. No one is saying you suck, you were funny, just slow down and dont try so hard. And the wahwahs do not make sense at all. I thought the show was good, i've seen better and i've seen worse. but for no budget, its right on the money. |

I saw the Even Later wuth Salvatore Rizzo variety show on Sunday.
What a well put together show! As a retired Broadway Critic I feel my review has some merit and importance to it.
Mr. Rizzo - An actor of this talent is a rare find this day in age. His ability to stay in character, tell jokes, keep his rough voice, and interact with Dr. Fginers is an invaluable talent.
Dr. Fingers - This actor is a true comic gem. I have reviewed many shows and actors but not in a long time have I come across someone with so much comic timing. His movements and facial expressions had me rolling. Stupendous job Dr. Fingers.
Overall the other skits where very well thought out and the show was phenomenal. Keep up the great work and these two actors are destined for greatness. |

This is the Official Review of The Living Dead Mafia which was seen Saturday Oct 22,2011 at Mill pond house courtesy of IAD (insanityAfterDark)
This Serious Comedy Drama (yes thats what Im calling it) Is a full play that gives you everything you need to know about The Deadfather and his Battle with Lucifer and the Secret. Wonderfully written By Elsie Ginsberg. Salvatore Rizzo (Adam Ginsberg) is Dangerously charming, with Brendon Noble as Lucifer, Martini Loco (Robert Frankenberg), Baron Dandy (Thomas Bellezza) and the rest of the Cast this was an Amazing production of Candelabra Theater. We Miss this year Round it shouldnt be Just for Halloween.
Also Nicole Oliva as Young Lor is Phenominally well played Watch out for this actress, she will be a Big Hit in anything she appears in.... |

Living Dead Mafia was thorougly enjoyable entertainment! I drove the whole way home smiling from screaming and laughing uproariously at this original live performance. The actors, for the most part, were realistic (as much as the UNdead could be) and excedeingly annimated!. The actresses, however, seemed stiff and to have only two notes in their arsenal: going straight from first gear to sixth with no transitions between to create any realism or depth. Lucifer, Rizzo, Martini, and especially Dandy-man were all so funny and expressive even through the masks and make-up. The dirty cheezey jokes and physical humor with a severed arm really made me laugh hard. I loved the Raunchy body gestures. My favorite parts were Dandy spelling his name as he peed and then when he made Lore dance with him. Although she was dead as an actress, his control over her was somehow exhilarating to me as an audience member and made me love what ended up happening to her. Overall this show is a must see this month! Grown-ups are promised to enjoy this Cream-filled experience! |

I saw the Saturday Show at 9:30 as well and I don't beleive that some of the comments on here are true. I understood just fine that the wah wah Voices was obviously some sort of boss for lucifer. It was a CLASSIC SKIT on the PEANUTS SCHOOL TEACHER! Freaking Hysterical. Also I don't think people should judge so harshly. The girl playing Lor may have not been the best actress, but sometimes the people in the show are who they are regardless. I feel strong about this being a Broadway Actor who saw the show myself.
Moving On.........Martini was hysterical! I don't know about this character trying to hard but what I do know is that I laughed every joke he told and every action he did. Probably one of the best actors in the show! Comedic Timing was hysterical and when we went upstairs although the stories were very boring, I feel this was a fault of the actors. The stories were good but couldve been ptrayed better. I was so excited because MARTINI! took us up the stairs and into the first room and then left. was so dissapointed cause I wanted to hear the Stories from him! Is what it is.
The Whole Audience was floored for the whole duration of the 9:30 show and I don't know about some other people but everyone I saw was laughing there ass off all night long. The Deadfather was also phenomenal!!! His voice was great and the Character Potrayal! CHICKEN DONE with Baron Dandy! will definitly be following these Characters and Company in the future!
Also saw Qualia Show on friday and Even Later with Rizzo on sunday!
Both great shows. Qualia very serious shows. However for this one I do have to agree that The Main character Qualia who I beleive also played Minion on saturdays and sundays is so hard to Understand,
OTHER THEN THAT!
SEE THIS SHOW!!! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING ON LONG ISLAND!!!!! SEE THE SHOW ANd HINT HINT!!!! the more u laugh the rauncher they get!!!!!!

I saw Qualia with my husband opening weekend and this Saturday I saw the Living Dead
Mafia show. Let me tell you I loved them. The Qualia play is very dramatic. It has such a good story line. The Living Dead Mafia show has a great storyline, just a little confusing though. Both shows I would highly recommend seeing. My freind Donna is in the show and let me tell you she was so funny as Minion! I loved the character! The Deadfather was so intense. Baron Dandy and the chicken! that's all I have to say. Lmao. Lucifer was so dirty it made me laugh until I cried. The Martini Loco Character was Great. I do agree with the other post made by the other guy on this forum that he wasn't the best of the show, But I don't think he was bad at all. I think he did a good job at what he was trying to accomplish. The two songs I thought were freaking hyseterical. Loved "CANOLIIIIII" from Lucifer. The Remy character i thought was really funny. I think the contrast between the two (Martini & Remy) was supposed to be like a laurel and hardy relationship. To me I thought it was funny.
The Ghost Stories upstairs changed????? The first week i went there was a Guy and a Girl in two different rooms. I'm sorry to say THEY WERE HORRIBLE! The way they potrayed the stories made me regret the time I wasted going up there.
That being said.......
The new ghost stories are AMAZING! The actor playing Mr. Mills I think it was is twisted! Much better improvment from before. I do agree with the other guy on here I think the guy playing Male Lobe, and Martini is the same actor upstairs. I however have to say he WAS great in THIS role. The way he makes you jump and scream was preety interesting. The story was so much more emotional. Anyway I think I will be going back to see the Even Later Show this upcoming Sunday. I'll post more when I see the other show. |

I reviewed the Living Dead Mafia show last week and told all I would write a review on the other two shows. I haven't seen the Sunday show, but Qualia was a great play. I stated in my previous comment that I thought the character of Martini was posting his own reviews and now I am certain that he is because the same man who played Martini also played male lobe and now there are comments saying how phenomenal male lobe was as well. I do not believe male lobe deserves that much praise. His character portrayal was on point, but there were so many greater actors to talk about who actually had speaking roles and didn't just stand there. David Zombie was phenomenal as an actor however I didn't understand why he didn't have a British accent and all the other characters did. Ben Qualia was outstanding. The way his character goes from beginning to end is epic. The evil laugh as he kills his own daughter, amazing. The girl who played Barbara needs to project more. This was a great show all together. I just don't understand why that one actor has to praise himself in all these reviews and not accept criticism. I guarantee even that comment about the raspy voice guy from Country Fair's Path To Purgatory is the same guy who plays Martini and Male Lobe. Anyway I'm just ranting here, this show is a must see. I think it was even written better then The Living Dead Mafia, but I still recommend seeing that show as well. |

I went yesterday to see the 6:30 pm showing of Even Later with Salvatore Rizzo. It was Phenomenal! Great skits and amazing actors. Mr. Rizzo and the Fingers character were freaking hysterical. "In the year 2012"! HaHaHaHaHa. Have to see it to believe it! I loved this show. So many great takes on Johnny Carson, Dave Letterman and more. The song at the end was great! I'm still singing. Audience participation made this so much fun.
I also saw the Friday showing of Qualia last week. I LOVED IT! The actors were so good. The british accents were unbelievable. I thought I was in Victorian England. The Transformation of the Lobe Siblings was Horrific! They were so scary, The contrast bewtween the two characters was really good. The guy who played male lobe was great! He is so in character. The part where he starts killing everybody was so frightning. I beleive it was harker he killed. The scene was so intense. The shear size of the Male Lobe, his height and build made him so scary especially the way he moves so quickly towards the end and he Licked the Wall! OMG true dedication to a roll. Qualia and his daughter were so good. The relationship between the characters was so beautiful. The ending was my favorite part. Such a great twist. The bad guy gets it in the end!
The Ghost Stories were very interesting. I loved them because the scenery was amazing but the guy who played Mr. Mills was freaking horrific. I didn't take the ghost stories when i saw Qualia, i was to scared, but I did take the tour last night! I was so hapy I did. The story was truly gruesome as well as sad. I almost shed a tear while listining to this mans agony. His voice was truly the epic part of the night. He would go from being so sad to angry. I was so scared. I went to Bayville and Blood manor in the city the first week of october and let me tell you, Neither! have anything on these guys. They LOCK YOU IN A ROOM! and the rest is truly horrific. I won't spoil it but the scenery is amazing!
All together, Definitly a very underestimated show and Haunt. Go see them you won't regret it. |

I went to go see The Living Dead Mafia Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised to see it was different... but this was a better different. Had I known I was invited to a wedding I would have dressed accordingly:) The guys in this show were freaking funny! It's cool what they manage to do in such a small stage. What I like is how close everyone is. You don't have to stretch your neck to see what's going on or bring binoculars. I usually visit haunted houses but it's a nice change to see this funny but creepy story take place. I know when I first heard about this show I hesitated because I didn't think I would enjoy as much as a haunted house but believe me when I say you will ENJOY! These people have fun and you can feel it. I'm not one for sad stuff but I felt bad in the beginning of the show but I won't say why so that I don't spoil it for you. I thought the only part that could have been more intense is when the older Lor at the bar confronts Baron. She doesn't really look scared. I know if I saw some crazy looking guy with hair that long that looked like a gorilla with a vengeance in my face I would probably shit my pants! Dandy!Dandy!Dandy! That's funny!!! Lucifer what's up!!!! Rizzo, you're one mean son of a bixxh! Kaboom!!! Ha!Ha!Ha! Go check it out!!! It's worth it!!
The upstairs was cool. They really had true scary stories about the house. I was expecting to find some scary guy telling the stories but it was on a TV then the other room was audio. Because I enjoyed the actors downstairs I was hoping to get more upstairs but it was interesting to be in these rooms listening.
All in all, its nice to have this sort of entertainment here on the Island. Usually, you get this stuff out in the city or in some amusement park as a sideshow like in Six Flags or something. I took the time to post my review because I felt these people earned it. I left with a smile on my face and my dollars were well spent. Thanks guys for not making me feel like I wasted my money during this Halloween Season. Keep on being crazy and entertaining. By the way, are you guys going to do stuff outside of Halloween? The lady who opened the show said you guys were planning a Jack The Ripper story. Is that true??? Can't wait if it is!!!!! |

Now before anyone flips out that I'm giving 3 bats, let me explain I am not judging the over all show, just the leads. Never in my life have I seen a show where the ensemble actors were better then the leads. If the Tribal Leader, Professor Harker, and Male Lobe had their own show, I'd give it 5 bats. They were excellent. The fact that the three of them played multiple roles was amazing. Now that I know the three of them are three of the leads tonight in The Living Dead Mafia, I'm buying my tickets! Now like I said, I'm reviewing the leads. The girl who played Barbara had a very monotonous tone to her voice. Everything was the same, there was no emotion at all. Benjamin seemed to be stumbling through the show and appeared to be very nervous. Theres nothing much to say about David Zombie because he wasn't bad at all but he wasn't a superstar on the stage either. This show is one I would love to see in a professional theater, with the right cast, this show is broadway bound. |

I saw the Even Later with Rizzo show last night and I can't stop laughing even today! That was AMAZING!!! It really was like a Talk Show but one of the funniest I've seen!! I didn't sit in the front because I didn't want to get picked on but now I wish I did as one of the girls in the front row got to interact with the characters and it looked like a lot of fun. The funniest was that Dr. Fingers guy! Abdomen Pain FUNNY! He gets raped for a second time it seems by this curvy dead woman after finding her "again" on the Dating Game! Oh my goodness! It was crazy! Then they had this awesome belly dancer dead chic who moved like water and so much more. I can't say enough but I don't want to reveal all their skits. I will say that even "Bill Clinton" made an appearance and I wonder if his genitals are bleeding today. Yeahhh!!! TELL THE TRUTH DAMN IT!!! Fantastic show. Thanks for the laughs!!!!!!! |

I went to the 7:45 showing of the Living Dead Mafia last night, It was amazing!
I couldn't beleive how well the story was written, not to mention the actors!
The Dead Father was Phenomenal, what an amazing actor! Hi potrayal of a Chicago Mob Boss was right on the money. Two words "MARTINI LOCO!". Funniest character I've seen in a while. Great comedic timing not to mention the hilarious accent. It was Phenomenal. I loved Baron Dandy, The chicken joke was hysterical! Loved Lucifer Pimpits Jones, The character was so goofy, The guy playing the rol was phenomenal. One thing I loved in the show that was not advertised was the music! The two musical numbers were unbeleivable, The actors had such great voices and really made the numbers epic. I would really like to know who wrote the Score to the show? I thought it was phenomenal and would lov eto buy a CD, it really made the show come to life. If anyone knows the name of the Composer can someone please tell me?
Ghost Stories - WERE AMAZING!!!!!!!! The guy playing Mr. Mills was on eof the scariest characters I have ever encountered. He told us this sad and horrific story of how his daughter was murdered but he was so Psychotic I was so scared to move. We would laugh, Cry, Scream and he would YELL at us for making to much noise. WAS FRAKING HYSTERICAL! thought I was in the moment there for a moment with a real killer. His potrayal was truly scary. The story was so well written and plays off the actual history of the mansion! At first I didn't beleive the end, He tells you these horrific facts about the reall history of the Mansion but I went home and looked it up and THEY ARE TRUE!!!!! The house REALLY IS HAUNTED! We went through the rest of the house and the Scenery was unbelevable! He took us in the FORBIDDEN room as he called it where he had this collection of dresses and weird things. There was so much to look at, definitly worth the money. They then LOCK YOU IN THE ROOM! and he said "I'll see you in a couple of hours" or something like that. Scared the shit out of me! Then he comes back in the door 30 Seconds later with one of the greatest jokes ever. He quickly passes back and forth between the customers splitting you up and making you so uneasy. DO NOT think you will be able to relax up there. It was great, He makes you fear for your life! The witch that we encounter in the begining was a great character! She had these peircing white eyes! truly something you must see to describe.
Truly a unique Experience not to be missed! |

My fiance and I went to see the 6:45 performance of The Living Dead Mafia last night. It was hilarious! I could not stop laughing. The characters were great. The wedding scene was really interesting to me because it felt like you were at an actual wedding witht he people seated and the music. It was so cool. I love Lucifer and I think it was Minion. These guys were so funny, There jokes were dirty and great. The best to me though was Mr. Rizzo and Martini Loco. The best part about these characters were that they were completly different comics from the Lucifer Gang. Lucifer just told funny jokes but Martini and Mr. Rizzo had perfect comedic timing. There jokes were few but when they told them I had trouble staying on my chair from laughing so hard. With them is was all about the hand gestures and facial expressions. The Kaboom box scene is the best in the show. You'll know it when you see it! The girls in the show we're good. My fiance came last year before we were together and told me that last years girl was horrible that played lor and was the same one playing her this year, However I agree with him that this year she was much better. The only one I didn't care for is Baron Dandy. He wasn't as animated as the rest of the cast and the tone in his voice as he said his jokes sounds like he doesn't understand them. Either way the show was phenomenal. I loved the musical number at the end, What a cool way to end a show. Upstairs was really cool. The stories we're heard were cool cause apparently they were true! The house is really haunted! The second room we went in the different graves said different things and had different noises, I don't know how to describe the experience in that room cause it was so cool! I liked when we were done that the guy in the robe told us about the slave hung from the banister we had to walk down! CREEEEEEPY! I enjoyed how the actor was very calm and creepy, We go to haunts left and right and all we do is get screamed at! It was nice to go to a haunt and be creeped out, He just stood there sniffing us! The upstairs was definitly really a cool experience and a great way to end the night. I left that house with chills not wanting to look back :)
Definitly something to see this year, We know we will be back again to see the other two shows and also will be checking out the Horror Nights on there flyer. Great job guys! |

I went to the Horror Nights the weeks of Nightmare on Elm Street & American Werewolf in London.
I LOVED THEM! ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!
They actually made a bed that Nancy was laying in and get's sucked under! Then Freddy came out after her chasing her up the aisle through the audience! was great!
Then they did Hellraiser and Butterball and Pinhead appeared in the theater to take a guy back to there world! was awesome!
However....I went to go see American Werewolf in London and was not pleased.
They did a skit in the begining involving a guy who had woman buy the hair threatening to kill her. Then this video came on where a Mafia Guy & a Weird Doctor came to scae the day at the theater. They knocked out the evil guy and left with the girl.
OKAY......Was a cool idead and a GREAT performance. But......HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE. Also the Movie was very confusing, There is a Mafia Guy talking on the telephone to someone about destiny, Fate, and being chosen for something then we never hear of this again. There was no story line?!?! I will be going back again this week but I hope there is no video and more something to do with the movie. I really enjoyed the creativity of the actors.
I am indeed saying go an see this. It is a great performanc eand the actors are phenomenal. I am an actress at theater three and I know how hard it is to do what these people are doing. Go and see the Horror Nights, wonder if they will have Capt. Spaulding this week at the theater! |

I went last year to see The Living Dead Mafia, ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I'VE EVER SEEN! I cannot wait for this year as I was given a flyer with more stuff they are doing. Simply AMAZING! I also saw the Even Later show on sundays. I was so excited to see that show in the flyer as I went with my mom and was told by one of the actors he "Shaved his balls" for us. HAHA. Will be going to all shows this year and HOPE they have the ghost stories again upstairs.
That being said let's talk about the newest discovery I have made!
Double Feature Horror Nights!
I went on the first night and saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre & The Hills Have Eyes. IT WAS FANTASTIC. The opening show is something to be witnessed. I don't know how to describe it besides great! The women playing mama was ilarious and scary at the same time. The brother mademe laugh. The best part for me was this humengous actor dressed as leatherface to a T, came in carrying this girl over his shoulder like she was nothing. He literally threw her down on the table. It was so
Real. Cannot wait to go back again. Keep it up guys, I will be there this year again! |

I have to say one thing to start, that there was some entertainment that night. I enjoyed the Living Dead Mafia show but the upstairs was awkward and boring. I didn't really care for the stories, I thought I was going to get a scary experience. Though, that is why I am giving you 3 bats instead of 5. The show was a solid 4 bats by it self.
If I had a chance to stay for the second showing I think I would have because it was worth the hour I had to sit through it. I think an hour is good for that slap stick kind of jokes they were throwing around. Anything longer would have taken away from it.
Rizzo was fun with the little guy, I think his name was Bobby, but Bobby was too over the top with his movements. His accent could have been worked on a little too. I didn't understand what he was going for. Though, I have to say, everyone had different accents for each character.
In closing, I think old Lor didn't have anything in her scenes, which was upsetting because I was enjoying the energy Baron had with Lucifer. Lucifer was really awesome, and funny. Loved his humor and movement. Lucifer was great through all his scenes. I just think sometimes his light was taken away because of the others. The death of Lor was killed by her lack of passion, I guess is a good word for it.
All in all, I thought the show was good enough for me to take the time and say something about it. It was my first of hopefully many more. I think this show can be something great, and I love that you are doing original theater stuff. It takes guts to make something like this happen. My friend told me about this show last year and he was right, it was worth the price of admission. I may show up again with her by the end of the month. |

This show was something of a changing curve in the theater world of horror shows. They mixed a haunted house with a fun show. Im not a fan off of breaking the fourth wall but they did a wonderful job. At one point during the scene with lucifer his side kick pointed at me and made my wife and I laugh the whole time.
It was the second show so I was expecting them to be out of fuel but nope, it was great energy the whole time. Or say the down side was some of the emotional scenes with the women slowed down the show. But it wasn't about them, it was about Rizzo who did a great job with martini throughout their scenes.
Im not going on as im only a spectator of theater and not an actor but I think one of my favorite parts was the scene with baron and Satan. And the death of older lor made me hate baron but in a good way.
Im looking forward to their other play. These are some great productions from this company. All in all I had a fun night out with my wife. |

I saw the Saturday showing of the Living Dead Mafia. I loved it! The actors were great. I have been to alot og shows here on Long Island and this one by far tops the cake. The show was very well written. I understood everything perfectly. I thought the story was very interesting. You definitly have to pay attention or you will miss something. The story is jam packed full of secrets. I loved how intrecit it is. You need to walk in there with an open mind. The showing I saw had some guests I guess in the front row. Something about a bridal store, Either way the Lucy character played on them so good. I almost cried with some of the references. The lady with the curly hair in the front who was part of this crew got picked on the most. I wish I was in there group.
I loved the show and I cannot wait to go back on Friday and see Qualia. I thought the casting was great. THe relationship between the Deadfather I think it was and his goons was so funny. The tow characters Remy and Mr. Loco were great. I loved the scene between the Deadfather and the minion character. The green guy Baron Dandy was great, Almost molested the lady in the front row with his mouth. lol.
As for the ghost stories I thought they were really well done. The three ladies however in my group obviously knew the gentleman story teller. They kept interupting him, for me this ruined it. He did very well with the story but I got lost because they kept interupting. However I couldn't tell if he was getting upset with them cause his character was crazy! Well done however I must say. After we moved out of the first room the rest was beautiful! The scenery is unbeleivable, and the house itself brings os much life to the stories.
All in all, I would definitly recomend this show to anyone looking for a good time. Well worth the money, Can't wait to see Qualia! |

Saw the 9:30 show on Saturday night,
The story line was confusing. Did not understand why the Devil was scared of a whimpy sound that came from no where. Who ever played the devil and the deadfather had excellent comedic timing. The people who played minion and remy were very hard to understand. marteeni tried to hard to get laughs from the audience and should think about toning it down. The scene with the green guy and the chicken was great. Best part of the show was definitely the song about the cannoli. This show would be amazing if the wahwahwah parts were taken out, it didnt make sense. Also if the deadfather was a chicago mob boss around the time of the valentine massacre as it says on the website, why was lor played by a girl who looks 14 years old and cant act? All and all if you want to see a show guaranteed to make you laugh, this is it, but dont try to follow the storyline or youll leave with a headache. Oh and dont bother going upstairs, the house looks great up there but the ghost stories are boring, would much rather walk through by myself and admire the scenery then listen to people who cant even read a story off of paper with out messing up, Will post more when I see the other two shows next weekend. |
